Her Worship the Mayor, Ms Carmen Gomez GMD took the salute at the exercise of the Freedom of the City of Gibraltar by the Royal Artillery, held on Saturday 10th June 2023. This was Her Worship’s first major public event and and only the second time that the Royal Artillery have exercised the Freedom of the City since its conferral in 1981. Her Worship stood on the dais in front of Parliament House as the Band and soldiers marched past, where she was joined by the Master Gunner, Lt General Sir Andrew Gregory KBE CB DL . The Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia CMG MP represented the Chief Minister.
Her Worship later hosted a cocktail party at the Mayor’s Parlour in the presence of the Master Gunner and other civic and military dignitaries and guests.
