Her Worship the Mayor, Ms Carmen Gomez GMD delivered a speech during the 2nd Gibraltar Pride event held on Saturday 24th June 2023 at Casemates Square, in which she said, ‘My motto has always been “live & let live” which encompasses anyone and everyone,’ drawing loud applause from the gathered crowd.’ Her Worship was one of several speakers which also included the Chief Minister, The Hon Fabian Picardo KC MP.
Prior to and after her speech Her Worship took the opportunity of mingling with the crowds, speaking to people from all walks of life and visiting several of the many stalls set up by different organisations on the day, all in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
